Prof. David Greenwood

David is Professor of Construction Management in the Faculty of Engineering and Environment, Northumbria University in the UK. Before entering academia he worked for some 10 years as Site Engineer and Senior Estimator in the Construction Industry. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building and former Chair of the Association of Researchers in Construction Management (ARCOM). He is co-founder and director of BIM Academy, a joint venture company that won the 2017 Times Higher Education Award for most innovative collaboration between industry and academia.

He has over twenty years of experience in consulting, training and lecturing around the world for commercial and governmental organisations and is an active promoter of initiatives that create better practice in the construction industry. He has authored over 150 publications, authored and co-authored several textbooks and has held research funding from the EPSRC, AHRC, UK and international government agencies.
