About
We are pleased to announce the 2nd Blockchain in Construction Research Workshop, hosted by Robert Gordon University in collaboration with the Construction Blockchain Consortium. The workshop will take place on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th April 2021 online.
The first day will feature a practical step by step implementation of Solidity smart contracts for CAD systems (Rhino/Grasshopper). The second day will include research discussions and seminars. More information, including an agenda, will follow.
Blockchain in a construction context is an important and emergent research subject with an increasing number and quality of publications but also one which receives significant industry attention. The virtual workshop hosted by Robert Gordon University’s Centre for Digital Cities and Society, in collaboration with the Construction Blockchain Consortium, aims to connect active researchers to develop further thinking and innovative approaches to the area. We are seeking presentations of up-to-date research to enable a wide and deep discussion on future research agendas and open pathways for potential collaborations.
The workshop will invite discussion based on the research presentations. Further, we hope presentations by blockchain researchers, developers and practitioners will inspire new research perspectives and directions. A particular aspect of the workshop will focus on developing a map of research questions and methods that can help the global community advance the state of the art.
